Panel sándwich para paredes con aislamiento de PU y PIR y estructura metálica
PU/PIR metal insulated sandwich wall panels are widely used in building envelope systems. Among them, PIR (polyisocyanurate) not only offers superior thermal insulation but also demonstrates significant advantages over PUR (polyurethane) in terms of fire resistance, dimensional stability, mechanical strength, and production efficiency. By increasing the proportion of isocyanurate, introducing a stable cyclic molecular structure, and raising the isocyanurate index, Glostar has created a PIR product with an exceptionally dense structure. This process imparts greater stability to the internal rigid foam, as well as outstanding heat and fire resistance. Experimental data confirms that Glostar Paneles sándwich de PIR can withstand short-term exposure to temperatures as high as 200°C and maintain stable performance during long-term exposure to 160°C.
Descripción
Glostar’s insulated wall panel is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core panel faced with pre-painted or galvanized steel sheets, engineered for exterior and interior wall cladding. As an insulated metal wall panel, it combines structural steel facing with a high-performance PIR/PU core — compared to standard PUR foam, PIR delivers superior fire resistance, dimensional stability, and mechanical strength, while maintaining the low thermal conductivity that reduces building energy consumption. Glostar’s insulated wall panels are produced with a higher isocyanurate index and a compact ring-molecule structure, allowing the rigid foam core to withstand short-term exposure up to 200°C and continuous exposure up to 160°C without losing structural integrity.

Why Choose Glostar Insulated Wall Panel?
Glostar’s insulated wall panels provide 30–50% higher insulation efficiency than traditional insulation materials such as glass wool, rock wool, or polystyrene. Different panel thicknesses correspond to different heat transfer coefficients, making this insulated metal wall panel suitable for environments requiring constant temperature control, such as cold storage, greenhouses, slaughterhouses, and livestock farms.
The PIR core carries a B1 fire rating with strong flame-retardant performance: the wall panel is difficult to ignite under direct flame or high heat, resists rapid flame spread, and self-extinguishes once the ignition source is removed.
Under identical vertical load conditions, panels of varying thickness can be selected to match different structural spans and design requirements, giving architects and contractors flexibility in project planning.
