Thermal Insulation Glass Wool Sandwich Panel for Wall

Glostar thermal insulation glass wool sandwich panels for wall combine Class A fire-rated glass wool core with color-coated steel facings, delivering superior thermal insulation, sound absorption, and fire safety for industrial, cleanroom, and commercial wall applications. Manufactured in Shandong, China, and shipped worldwide with fully customizable thickness, color, and profile.

Description

Glass wool sandwich panels are engineered from a porous glass wool insulation board bonded between two layers of color-coated steel sheet. The fibrous, open-cell structure of glass wool gives the panel excellent acoustic absorption, making it the preferred wall solution for factories, workshops, and buildings with strict noise-control requirements. Combined with Class A (non-combustible) fire performance and low thermal conductivity, Glostar glass wool wall panels are widely used in steel structure workshops, warehouses, cleanrooms, and public buildings across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America.

Perforated inner steel facings are available on request to further improve sound absorption and noise reduction coefficient, making the sandwich wall panel suitable for demanding acoustic environments such as machinery workshops, testing labs, and gymnasiums.

A wide range of substrates is available for exterior metal sandwich panels, including color-coated steel and aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and film-laminated steel. To meet diverse environmental requirements, we offer various high-performance coating systems—such as PVDF, High Durability Polyester (HDP), Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP), standard Polyester (PE), and nanoparticle-reinforced PE. Each coating solution offers distinct advantages in terms of UV stability, corrosion resistance, color retention, and overall durability, allowing us to provide tailored, optimal solutions based on local climatic conditions and specific project specifications.

Sound Absorption

With a perforated inner steel sheet, a 120mm glass wool sandwich panel (core density 64kg/m³) achieves a Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 37dB and a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 0.95 against a rigid wall — ideal for industrial buildings requiring noise reduction.

Why Choose Glostar Glass Wool Wall Panels

  • Class A fire rating: Non-combustible glass wool core provides superior passive fire protection for industrial and public buildings.
  • Excellent sound absorption: Open-cell fiber structure and optional perforated facings reduce noise transmission and reverberation.
  • Reliable thermal insulation: Low K-value keeps interior temperatures stable and reduces HVAC energy costs.
  • High bonding strength: Imported high-efficiency adhesive sprayed at up to 600g/m² achieves near 100% bonding rate, with 50mm polyurethane edge sealing to prevent cold bridging and condensation.
  • Enhanced rigidity: 90° rotated, vertically distributed and cross-butted core material eliminates gaps and increases panel compressive strength.
  • Fully customizable: Choose thickness, steel gauge, coating, color, galvanizing type, and profile (ripple, flat, or square wave) to match project specifications.

Application

Glostar glass wool sandwich wall panels are widely used in steel structure warehouses and logistics centers, industrial workshops and factories, power and energy facilities, cleanroom and electronics plants, oil and gas facilities, and public and commercial buildings that require combined fire safety, thermal insulation, and acoustic performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fire rating of glass wool sandwich panels?

Glostar glass wool sandwich panels use a Class A, non-combustible glass wool core, tested to GB/T5464-2010 and GB/T14402-2007 standards for fire and heat release performance.

What thickness options are available?

Standard thicknesses range from 50mm to 200mm (up to 240mm for through-fixing panels), allowing thermal and acoustic performance to be matched to project requirements.

Can the panels improve sound absorption?

Yes. Adding a perforated inner steel sheet increases the panel’s Noise Reduction Coefficient, making it well suited for workshops, testing facilities, and other noise-sensitive spaces.

Do you offer custom colors and lengths?

Yes. Panel length can be produced from 3.5m to 11.8m, and colors are customized to your project’s RAL specification.

What is your minimum order quantity and lead time?

MOQ and lead time depend on panel thickness, coating, and order volume. Contact our sales team with your project specifications for a tailored quote.
